My wellness journey began early, with my dad coaching my softball team, sparking a lifelong love of sports and fitness. After playing All-Star softball and high school volleyball, I joined the Army at 18 as a Combat Medic, gaining invaluable knowledge of health, anatomy, and resilience. I later earned a degree in Exercise Science-Pre-Physical Therapy with a minor in Spanish (Sí, hablo español!) and explored various movement styles—from Zumba and Spin to Barre and Pilates. But Yoga truly transformed my life. My first Ashtanga class in 2009 shifted my perspective, and by 2012, I completed my 200-hour teacher training with Nikki Myers and Marsha Pappas to share Yoga’s incredible benefits. Since then, I’ve taught everything from Hot Slow Flow and Power Vinyasa to Barre, Pilates, and Bootcamp for studios and corporate wellness programs across Indy. After a teaching break, I’m thrilled to be back sharing my passion for movement, breath, and community at YogaSix! Off the mat, I teach at Barre Ripple, spend time with my daughter Gabriela, enjoy girls’ trips, and volunteer with FIDO (Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside)
