Amy M.
Having practiced yoga for over 20 years and taught for over 10 years, yoga is an essential part of Amy’s daily life. She believes that movement is medicine and yoga is a balm that can help heal the body, mind and soul. She discovered yoga when she was pregnant with her first daughter. She was drawn to it to help relieve the aches and pains of pregnancy and connect her to her ever-changing body. She quickly realized that yoga also steadied her mind and brought peace to her soul. Amy has completed two 200 hour yoga teacher training programs as well as numerous continuing education workshops and seminars over the past 15 years. Her classes range from more restorative to more energized and always include elements of playfulness, accessibility and encouragement. Whether guiding a student through their practice or flowing with them in a class, Amy appreciates above all the sense of community and connection that yoga brings to her life. Off the mat, she enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters, family and friends, snuggling with her dogs, running, baking, travelling and reading.
